Security beefed up

Security has been beefed up here following reports of fresh serial blasts in some parts of Ahmedabad on Saturday. Police said that as a matter of precaution, adequate police personnel had been posted at Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple. After frisking, devotees were permitted to enter the temple through the door frame metal detectors. Similarly, mobile patrol teams are on alert around the temple area.

Police have also deployed personnel at select sensitive points and vital installations. The public have been requested to cooperate with the police in the checks, they said.
