Wage hike for loadmen

CHENNAI: Loadmen of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation will be given a 10 per cent hike in wages instead of five per cent as in previous years. Revision of wages will be now be done once in three years instead of five years. An official release stated on Saturday that Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi issued the order, which would benefit about 18,000 loadmen. — Special Correspondent
