IUML to remain in DPA

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: The Tamil Nadu Maanila Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will remain in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, its State unit president and Member of Parliament K.M. Khader Moideen said here on Saturday. The IUML will garner support for the DPA from among Muslims, he told reporters here.

The doubts the party had on the Indo-US nuclear deal had been clarified by the Centre.

“We believe in the honesty of the Prime Minister and are convinced by his words and deeds. The government will not do wrong to the people,” he said in response to a query.

The trust vote was a referendum and the UPA government emerged victorious.

Stating that price rise and inflation were a temporary phenomenon, he said it was wrong to attribute this to the economic policies.
