High alert in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: Following a series of bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, the Madhya Pradesh government has sounded high alert in the State.
The Madhya Pradesh DGP, S.K. Raut, told PTI that the Inspector-Generals and Police Superintendents had been asked to maintain strict vigil at crowded public places, airports, bus stands, railway stations, cinema houses and important government buildings and institutions.
Mr. Raut has directed them to get ready the anti-bomb disposal squads, sniffer dog squads and the Rapid Action Forceso that they can be deployed quickly in any eventuality. Besides, the DGP said the police had strengthened its deployment in and around Raja Bhoj, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Khajuraho. — PTI
