Ahmed Patil hopeful of coordination
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel has expressed the hope that the Centre and Gujarat government will act in coordination in the wake of Saturday’s Ahmedabad serial blasts.
In a statement here, he said the issue was not one of any difference in attitudes and responses to such acts of violence and terror as they were against the interests of the entire country.
“I am sure that there would be total cooperation between the authorities in Delhi and Gandhinagar,” said Mr. Patel, a leader from Gujarat.
Mr. Patel, who is political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, urged the people of Gujarat not to panic as that was the real motive of the enemies of the country.
