Conquering IIT-JEE

The 7 IITs are the most prestigious engineering educational institutions in India. They have been founded with the sole purpose of providing international standards of excellence in engineering education. Admission to these institutions is based on the IIT-JEE.

Questions at the IIT-JEE level will involve integration of concepts which students have learned through different chapters in the 11th and 12th Std. But IIT-JEE requires much deeper understanding of the subjects. The JEE will require the ability to seamlessly integrate the concepts from all these areas if the situation so demands.

Syllabus for IIT-JEE is as prescribed by the Joint Admission Board of the IITs and is given in the Brochure for JEE. It largely comprises of the core areas of the XI and XII syllabus as per the CBSE board with some deletions from it. But the depth of conceptual understanding required to answer a JEE paper does not simply end in by-hearting or learning the basics alone. It requires deep understanding and integration of concepts, use of good level of mathematical techniques and ability to break up complex problems into smaller ones and solve them.

In today’s scenario, the biggest truth about education & careers is the competition to secure a seat in any of the top institutions, in any field of education. Proper guidance and training for all those students who are desirous of gaining that extra competitive edge will enable them to perform better than the rest.

When students understand the concepts and their applications correctly (by inculcating the habit of asking the question “WHY?”), they have a better chance of doing well in competitive exams, since most of the questions are based on the application of concepts.

By generating more interest in the subject, the whole learning process becomes a lot more enjoyable than the present education system where scoring marks is the only real concern. This approach towards learning is the key to excel in any field that the student may end up choosing later in his life. A proper understanding of the fundamentals and a genuine interest in the subject are the two most important factors for success.
