Eco-friendly Ganeshas

Bangalore: With Ganesh Chaturthi round the corner, initiatives are being taken by organisations to make eco-friendly Ganesh idols. Malleswaram will be targeted for promotion of eco-friendly idols during this Ganesh Chaturthi. A workshop was held at M.E.S College here recently to raise awareness among the people on the importance of buying clay idols instead of those made of plaster of Paris. The use of eco-friendly idols helps in reducing pollution. Production of such idols consumes a lot of time.
