Muzaffarnagar: Police, on Sunday, prevented the cremation of a woman after it was found that she was allegedly killed by her in-laws. Police said Suman, wife of Kamal in Kirshnapuri, was allegedly strangulated to death by her-in-laws. Three of her relatives were arrested when they were trying to cremate the body. Meanwhile, Vihit (12) of Mumbet village drowned in the Yamuna canal while taking bath here on Saturday. Similarly, Rimku, also 12-years-old, drowned while taking bath in the canal at Lazukheri village. In another incident, body of a Kawad pilgrim has been fished out from a pond at Porqasi town.
