NEW DELHI: A delegation of senior officials of electricity companies from Pakistan visited North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) this past week. It was led by Pakistan Electric Power Company Private Limited, Director General (Energy Management and Conservation Division) Tahir Basharat Cheema . The Pakistani delegates held extensive discussions and field visits on the power distribution reforms process, outcomes and challenges faced by NDPL in power distribution since power privatisation in Delhi in 2002. The two sides also discussed operational excellence, innovation in customer care and use of technology in the distribution sector by NDPL and how it has led to several pioneering initiatives by NDPL in the power distribution sector. Referring to the visit, Mr. Cheema said, “The NDPL success story has been a lea-rning experience for us and our continued interaction with NDPL would be useful. We will be looking forward to using innovations in technology and customer care by NDPL in our endeavours.”
