“Power scenario better in Rajasthan”

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Cooperative Minister Nathu Singh Gujjar on Sunday said the State would become self-sufficient in power production by the year-end as a result of new units being installed in the existing power projects and an efficient management of electricity infrastructure being evolved.

Inaugurating a convention of the Ajmer Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Workers’ Union at Kishangarh, Mr. Gujjar said the power situation in the State was comparatively better with load-shedding done only in “rare circumstances”. He called upon the workers to perform their duty with responsibility.

The Minister said the workers had an important role in the power sector reforms.
