VS to hold meet on security situation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will hold a meeting of the Home Department and police officials here on Monday to assess the security situation in the State in view of the bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad and an e-mail threat that Kerala will be the next target.
The meeting will chart out further measures to be taken on the security front.
Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Chief Secretary P.J. Thomas, Principal Secretary (Home) K.J. Mathew, Director of Police Raman Srivasthava and other higher officials would be attending the meet. Officials with the Chief Secretary discussed the security measures.
