Srinagar: Two pilgrims died on way to the Amarnath shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas on Sunday, raising the death toll in the ongoing yatra to 61, official sources said. Obdesh Prasad (70) of Bihar and Anuj Ram (58) of Chhattisgarh died at Zojibal and Panjtarni, sources said. The sources said Prasad suffered a massive heart attack, while Ram died of asthma. Meanwhile, the yatra was going on smoothly from both the tracks with over 2,000 pilgrims leaving the base camps to offer their prayers. A total of 5,20,036 pilgrims visited the cave shrine and had ’darshan’ till Sunday afternoon, the sources said. — PTI
