Mysore: Second seed C.P. Karthick of B.N.M (Bangalore) upset top seed A.R. Navaneeth of Horizon TT (Bangalore) 11-4, 6-11, 11-9, 6-11, 14-12, 14-12 and clinched the youth boys’ singles title in the LIC Cup State-ranking table tennis tournament that concluded here on Sunday. Second-seeded N. Poojitha shocked top seed Nisarga N. Poojari 13-11, 7-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-1, 11-7 to win the women’s singles title. Local player Vedanth M. Urs bagged his third cadet boys singles title in a row this season by defeating unseeded Rahul Bharadwaj of Horizon TT 11-6, 11-5, 11-1 in the final.
