PANAJI: In addition to 48 Ganapati Special (Ganesh Chaturthi) trains between Mumbai and Madgaon (south Goa), Konkan Railway has announced yet another special train between Ahmedabad and Madgaon to clear the extra rush of passengers. Train no. 0909 Ahmedabad-Madgaon Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 2.10 p.m. and reach Madgaon at 1.30 p.m. next day. The train will operate on August 30, September 1, 7 and 9. In the return direction, train No. 0910 will operate on August 31, September 2, 8 and 10. The train will depart from Madgaon at 2 p.m. and reach Ahmedabad at 1.35 p.m. next day. The special train will comprise 18 coaches, including 10 sleeper and two third-AC coaches. HaltsThe special train will have halts at Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilvade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavavadi, Nandgaon, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali, according to a press release issued here by Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. on Saturday.
