Kalpetta: The Ambalavayal police seized a truck with 165 bags of rice from Tamil Nadu without proper documents at Chulliyode near Sulthan Bathery on Sunday . The police said that the rice, worth Rs.1,69,200, was being taken from Erumadu in Tamil Nadu to Big Bazar in Kozhikode. Lorry drivers Suresh Babu of Kozhikode and Kabeer of Muttil, Wayanad, were taken to custody. The vehicle and the drivers were handed over to the Sales Tax Intelligence Department. — A Correspondent
