THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government has extended the last date for submission of second-stage projects and annual plans for 2008-09 by local self-governments to the technical advisory groups to August 11. The district planning committees are to approve the plans of village and block panchayats and municipalities by August 15 and district panchayats and city corporations by August 30, Minister for Local Self-government Paloli Mohammed Kutty said here on Sunday. — Special Correspondent
