THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Development Council will meet here on Monday with Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan in the chair. The Council is to discuss implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme, Total Sanitation Programme and the EMS Housing Scheme as well as computerisation of local administration, redeployment of government employees and related issues. It would also discuss strengthening of the district planning committees and plans for implementation of the next phase of the Five-Year Plan, besides reviewing the progress of Centrally funded schemes and coordination in implementation of the Central and State schemes.
