Man dies in road accident

A 30-year-old man died on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an APSRTC bus at Ajithsingh Nagar on Sunday.

The Payakapuram police identified the victim as Gudavarthi Nagaraju, a resident of Chandrala village in Mylavaram.

The police said that the accident occurred when Nagaraju was on his way to the city from Nuzvid on his motorcycle.

The city-bound bus from Nuzvid hit the motorcycle from behind at the turning near Saibaba temple. The bus driver was absconding. The body was sent for a post-mortem. The Payakapuram police registered a case.
