Low pressure over Bay
A low pressure area has formed over the north-west and the adjoining west-central Bay and the neighbourhood on Sunday morning. According to a bulletin of the Cyclone Warning Centre, under the influence of the low pressure rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over coastal Andhra during the next 24 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely at one or two places over the coastal region of the State during the same period. Strong surface winds from westerly direction with speeds reaching 45 kmph to 50 kmph likely along and off the coast during the period. The state of the sea will be moderate to rough. Kalingapatnam and Kavali recorded 3 cm of rain each while Nellore and Rentachintala received 1 cm each.
