e-mail threat: probe on in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Maharashtra police visited an apartment in Navi Mumbai’s Sanpada neighbourhood, from where an e-mail was sent in the name of ‘Indian Mujahideen’ claiming responsibility for the blasts in Ahmedabad.
The apartment was rented to an American and the tenant told the police that his e-mail account was hacked to send the mail.
The state police have put their networks and forces on a high alert in view of the terrorist attacks in Ahmedabad and Bangalore and threats to the State in mentioned in the e-mail.
