Orientation programme concludes

NEW DELHI: A two-day orientation programme organised by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat for the new members of the Upper House concluded here on Sunday. A total of 44 members attended the programme, which was addressed by Vice President and Rajya Sabha ChairmanHamid Ansari and Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan among others.

Several senior members of the Upper House, including P.Shiv Shankar, Murli Manohar Joshi, Ravi Shankar Prasad and V.Kishore Chandra S. Deo addressed the new comers on the various aspects of Parliament functioning such as the department-related standing committees.
