Court upholds life term

New Delhi: A seaman, who killed a colleague in a cargo ship, has failed to get any relief from the Delhi High Court which has upheld the life imprisonment awarded to him for the murder 12 years ago.

“We find no reason to arrive at a finding different from the one recorded by the trial court in regard to the complicity of appellant in committing the murder of L. Shiv Ramanan on board,” a Division Bench of Justice B. N. Chaturvedi and Justice G. S. Sistani said while rejecting Manderam Langeswaran’s appeal against the trial court’s decision. - PTI
