SALEM: Cadres of Pattali Makkal Katchi staged a demonstration here on Tuesday to protest against continuing power cuts in the State. Frequent disruptions in power supply and the power holiday scheme announced by the government had affected all sections of the society. The productivity in a large number of small scale and tiny industrial units in the State had come down, leaving them to face huge losses. Many units would be forced to shut down their operations if power cuts continued for long.
