Ukraine varsity invites State students for admissions into medical courses

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: The Ukraine-based Zaporozhye State Medical University has invited interested students from Andhra Pradesh to join its medical courses to obtain a degree that is recognized not only in that CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) member country but throughout the European Union. General Medicine, Paediatrics, Laboratory Diagnostics, Pharmacy and ‘Technology of Perfume - Cosmetic Preparations’ are the courses offered in premedical, medical and post-diploma periods, said university’s dean of admissions Iulia Valerivna Martovitskaya. Addressing a Press conference here on Tuesday during a promotional campaign, Ms. Valerivna said many students currently studying medicine at Zaporozhye university were from Andhra Pradesh and many more evinced interest in joining its courses due to quality and value of a Zaporozhye medical degree around the world. The courses offered by Zaporozhye were recognized by Medical Council of India and General Medical Council of the US and UK.

Major advantage

The European Community Course Credit Transfer System implemented by the Zaporozhye University was a major advantage as the students would be lapped by any medical institution/hospital anywhere in the EU member countries. Premedical education is provided at the preparatory department for foreign citizens, which is the oldest in CIS countries. It is the center of foreign students’ training for studies in other higher educational institutions of Ukraine. Training in specializations is given at two departments: medical and pharmaceutical.

The Neo Educational Organization, Hyderabad was authorized by Embassies of Ukraine to sponsor students to its medical education and also pilot training and aeronautical engineering courses. Further details about the Ukrainian university can be obtained from website www.zsmu.net
