CPI(M) wants ‘tainted’ Ministers sacked
Staff Correspondent
KOLAR: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) will launch an agitation in the State demanding sacking of ‘tainted’ Ministers of the B.S. Yeddyurappa-led Government. Dharnas will be held in front of the taluk offices across the State on August 1 as part of the agitation, CPI (M) State secretariat member G.C. Bayya Reddy told presspersons here.
The Chief Minister should sack Ministers S.N. Krishnaiah Shetty, D. Sudhakar, Balachandra Jarkiholi and Murugesh Nirani since charge sheets were reportedly filed against them in various fraud cases, Mr. Bayya Reddy said. The agitation is also to ‘expose’ the alleged Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s hand in formulating the budget. Many of the budget proposals, such as promoting cow-dung manure, are aimed at strengthening the Sangh parivar, the CPI(M) leader alleged.
