Britain warned Russia and Egypt on July 28, she would not tolerate any deliberate attempt by them to deprive U. K. and Western Europe of their Middle-East oil supplies. Speaking for the Government in a House of Lords debate on foreign affairs, Lord Home, Secretary for Commonwealth Relations, said Britain wished to maintain her good relations, commercially and otherwise with Iraq.
