Letters to the Editor
There is a wrong notion that Islam encourages terrorism. Though what the Narendra Modi government did to Muslims during his past regime is a historical blunder, avenging the wrongs by setting off blasts and killing innocent people is un-Islamic and highly condemnable. The Indian Mujahideen’s claim that the Ahmedabad blasts were reprisals for the 2002 riots betrays its ignorance of the teachings of Islam which, like all religions, advocates love, peace and harmony. Miscreants bring disrepute and discredit to the entire community by harming innocent people. M.A. Mohamed Sahul Hameed, Vellore P. Bhuvanachandran, Aluva A.S. Farida, Kancheepuram
