BANGALORE: Sports Authority of India (Dharwad) and Mounts Club emerged champions in the State youth (U-16) basketball championship for boys and girls, respectively. At the Sree Kanteerava stadium indoor courts here on Tuesday, SAI maintained an all-win record in the four-team semifinal league with a 62-46 verdict over Jayanagar SC (JSC), while Mounts Club girls registered a one-sided 64-34 victory over Viveks SC to make it a three-way tie but with a better points quotient finished on top. The results: Boys: SAI (Dharwad) 62 (Abhishek 28, Praveen 13) bt JSC 46 (Vipul 13, Arjun 11, Kaif 10). For third place: VN Sports Club 48 (Akash Subbaiah 27, Nikilesh 12) bt Beagles 31 (Yashas 11). Girls: Mounts 64 (Irawati Guha 17, Roshini 13, Anchal 12, Sagarika 12) bt Viveks SC 34 (Akshata 11, Sindhu 11); JSC 43 (Vijayalakshmi 14, Siri 14) bt SS Chandargi 26 (Sushmitha 10).
