East Bengal wins

KOLKATA: East Bengal beat Chirag United SC 1-0 in a premier division match of the Calcutta Football League.

East Bengal had remained winless in the last three matches, losing once and drawing two. Striker Ashim Biswa struck the all-important goal in the 49th minute.

East Bengal has eight points from five outings and is in number four in the standings. Chirag United has four points from five matches. — Principal Correspondent
