HASSAN: The Malnad Janapara Horata Samiti, which has opposed the proposed Gundia hydro power project, will present its case before the Deputy Commissioner when he conducts a public hearing at Hongal in Sakleshpur taluk where the proposed project is to come up, on August 6. President of the samiti H.A. Kishore Kumar said here on Wednesday that if the project was implemented it would destroy the Western Ghats and affect drinking water supply in the region.
