Thiruvananthapuram: The State government has decided to withdraw the provision under which gazetted officers should sign as sureties in the bond to be given by those who secure admission for MBBS and BDS in the government merit seats.
Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy said here on Wednesday that it was enough if the bond was signed by the student and his parent or guardian. The signatures should be certified by the authority authorised for the purpose. A separate order would be issued for amending the provisions regarding this in the prospectus.
