MAHABUBNAGAR: Telugu Desam Party Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that detailed enquiry would be conducted on the sub standard construction of ongoing irrigation projects particularly lift irrigation projects in the State, in the event of his party coming to power in the ensuing elections. Speaking to media persons at Jurala Project guesthouse on Wednesday there as part of his ‘Mee Kosam Yatra’ alleged that the YSR government abnormally enhanced the cost estimates of the ongoing irrigation projects. The government has given contract of supplying motor pump sets of all the lift irrigation projects to a Bangalore-based firm with which ruling party leaders have an under the table dealing, Mr. Naidu alleged. He said that the YSR government was paying more interest in undertaking lift irrigation projects in the State than searching ways for more generation of electricity. The TDP president addressed impressive road shows at Chintarevulapally, Dharoor and Gadwal.
