Councillors’ fund doubled

NEW DELHI: Municipal Corporation of Delhi Councillors will now get Rs.2 crore each every year for initiating development works in their areas. The MCD Standing Committee passed a proposal to this effect at its meeting on Wednesday. The Councillors were getting Rs.85 lakh for their development fund before it was raised to Rs.1 crore for the year 2007-08.
