Court quashes land acquisition for BMIC
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday quashed the acquisition of land in Ragavanahalli village near Kengeri for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project.
The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) had notified thousands of acres between Bangalore and Mysore on behalf of NICE. The KIADB had also notified parts of land in Ragavanahalli for the project.
The owners of the land, Beemasandra Educational Institution Trust, had petitioned the High Court against the acquisition of their land. Justice Huluvad G. Ramesh allowed the petition and quashed the acquisition.
