Market value of land to go up by 5 to 30 per cent

HYDERABAD: The increase in market values of properties for registration purpose in 144 towns and cities across the State, will range from 5 to 30 per cent.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy cleared the proposal made by the Registration & Stamps Department while reviewing the performance of revenue-earning departments such as Commercial Taxes, Excise and Transport. The new rates will come into effect from August 1.
B. Aravind Reddy, Commissioner & Inspector- General, Registration & Stamps, said the maximum hike in market values would be in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
