Security stepped up at Tirumala

TIRUMALA: Security has been stepped up atop Tirumala on Wednesday in view of the serial terrorist strikes in different parts of the country. Highly placed sources confirmed that the TTD received warnings from various intelligent agencies. Additional forces were deployed in and around the temple complex and at all other places of pilgrim congregation.
The security sleuths were seen questioning the suspicious persons and also inspected the local shops.
The bags and baggage of the visiting pilgrims were thoroughly checked at the Alipiri scanning and security point situated at down Tirupati.
