BHOPAL: Sixty-two MoUs for investments totalling over Rs. 88,000 crore were signed at the two-day Investors’ Meet, which concluded in Gwalior on Wednesday. Addressing the concluding session, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that with the cooperation of investors, the State Government would add a new chapter of development and prosperity. Since the Global Investors’ Meet at Indore, MoUs for projects worth Rs. 2,75,000 crore have been signed, the Chief Minister said adding that this was a creditable achievement that leaves a clear message that Madhya Pradesh was no longer a backward State. Two universitiesThe State had woken up to a new dawn, he observed. The Chief Minister chose this occasion to announce the setting up of an agricultural university and a music university in Gwalior. On the second day of the meet, a total of 49 MoUs were signed for investment worth over Rs. 55,877 crore. On the first day, 13 MoUs worth Rs. 32,114 crore were signed. This takes the total to 62 MoUs worth Rs. 88,018 crore.
