Hero Honda net up 44 p.c.

CHENNAI: Hero Honda Motors has reported a 44 per cent growth in profit after tax at Rs. 272.87crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2008, against Rs. 189.84 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Total turnover grew by 16 per cent to Rs. 2,890.25 crore from Rs. 2,486.90 crore, says a release. — Corporate Reporter
