Madras Cements’ turnover and profit up

CHENNAI: Madras Cements has achieved a total income of Rs. 614.97 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 against Rs. 469.37 crore in the corresponding period in 2006-07. It has reported a net profit of Rs. 113.97 crore against Rs. 100.56 crore even with higher provision towards raw material, power, fuel, interest and other expenses. — Corporate Reporter
