Double for PSG CAS

Coimbatore: PSG College of Arts and Science clinched both the men’s and women’s title in the Bharathiar University inter-collegiate table tennis tournament at the Kongunadu Arts and Science College here on Wednesday.

The results:

Men: PSG CAS bt Bharathiar University Departments 3-0. Women: PSG CAS bt Providence College (Coonoor) 3-0.

CIRS overall champion

Chinmaya International Residential School tallied 800 points to emerge the overall champion in the district junior and sub-junior swimming meets at the Jenny’s Residency on Tuesday.

The results: Overall champion: 1. Chinmaya IRS 800 pts, 2. Perks MHSS 254, 3. SSVM 244.

Best swimmers: Boys’ 15-17 yrs: Sanjay Srivastav (KV) 38pts. 13-14: Hrishikesh Bhatta (Chinmaya) 40. 11-12: Stephan (KV) 40. 9-10: J. Yeshwanth Krishna (Stanes) 36. 6-8: Haswanth (Suguna Pips), Thanushkar (VV) & C.S. Balaji (Bharathi MS).

Naveen, Akshitha excel

S. Naveen Mani and Akshitha from Apex Club wrested the top slots in the above 50kg kumite event for men and women in the district karate championship at the Dr. GRD College of Science recently.
