Ranganath to head NAAC?

Bangalore: Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor H.A. Ranganath has been offered the post of director of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

The post has been vacant for six months ever since the term of V.S. Prasad ended in February.

Prof. Ranganath was short-listed for the post by the three-member search committee headed by Goverdhan Mehta, former director of Indian Institute of Science. He said he would accept the offer.
