Elderly man beaten to death

NEW DELHI: An elderly man had to pay with his life for tying his goat outside his neighbour’s house at Jamia Nagar here on Tuesday. Two of his neighbours, including a woman, have been arrested on charges of battering him to death.

Maulana Abdul Mungeri of Mehar Patti tied his goat outside his neighbour Mohammed Omar’s house in the evening leading to a minor altercation between the two. Omar asked the old man to take his goat away, but Mungeri refused to budge. Soon Omar’s wife Nikhit Praveen also joined the altercation.

Omar and Praveen have been arrested.
