Chalasani Gandhi to retire today

A mammoth meeting will be held at the open space between the railway’s Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam and railway stadium on Thursday to felicitate top railway union leader Chalasani Gandhi on the occasion of his retirement from railway service. Informing this at a media conference here on Wednesday, divisional coordinator of East Coast Railway Shramik Union D. Shaleel said the railway employees would prefer to call it e Shashtiabdapurthi function rather than retirement. Mr. Gandhi started his career as a pharmacist in the erstwhile SER and would retire on Thursday as Chief Pharmacist Grade 1 at ECoR Main Hospital in the city.
