Surgery performed under Arogya Sri
A large multi-lobed spinal tumour weighing more than 2.5 kg was removed during a surgery performed on a 28-year-old man from Vizianagaram under the Arogya Sri scheme at a corporate hospital here. The patient Sanyasi Rao was having weakness in legs and other problems for the last four years and after being referred to the Seven Hills Hospital here under the Arogya Sri scheme, an MRI revealed the large tumour. Neuro surgeon and minimal invasive spine surgeon Randhi Kumar performed the surgery on July 26 and removed the tumour. Supportive care for the chest was given by physician Anirban Deb and Anand B.M, Medical Superintendent of Seven Hills Hospital M. Dinakar said on Wednesday.
