ERODE: State Minister for Handlooms and Textiles N.K.K.P. Raja has denied involvement in an abduction case, in which he has been cited as a respondent. Perundurai resident N. Elangovan has filed a habeas corpus petition in the Madras High Court seeking a direction to the Perundurai police to produce his father-in-law P.C. Palanisamy, mother-in-law P. Malarvizhi and brother-in-law P. Sivabalan before the court, and set them at liberty. In response to the allegations, Mr. Raja told journalists here on Wednesday that the case was false and it was a political vendetta to malign his name. He would fight it out in court and get his name cleared.
