Chief Minister hailed for bringing out ICT policy
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: The Tamil Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce (HCC) have appreciated Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for bringing out the constructive Information Communication Technology policy 2008 at the right time.
Boon for students
In a release issued here on Wednesday, TCC president Chozha Naachiar Rajasekar said that the policy would facilitate students to get into the industry more effortlessly and would also encourage them to take up doctoral and post-doctoral research in the ICT area.
Need for experts
HCC president S. Vijaikumar Bafna said that Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau should be equipped with more experts to handle separately the sectors such as textiles, IT and SEZ. This would enable the various sectors of the industry to grow simultaneously in the State.
The implementation of the new policy would enable the ICT industry to march ahead further and occupy the top slot in the country.
