Cairn India Q1 net loss at Rs. 46.68 crore

CHENNAI: Cairn India has achieved a total income of Rs. 22.58 crore in the three months ended June 30, 2008 against Rs. 8.85 crore. Due higher exploration cost and other expenses, the company has reported a loss before tax of Rs. 29 crore against Rs. 7.57 crore. After providing for Rs. 17.68 crore towards fringe benefit tax, the net loss has gone up to Rs. 46.68 crore from Rs. 7.57 crore.
