VIJAYAWADA: Sree Ramcides Chemicals Private Limited, a Chennai-based agro player, announced the launch of Dex detergent powder and bar here on Thursday. Ramcides CEO R. Padmanabhan said that the company’s expansion into Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment was a natural process of the business, as the company enjoyed a strong base that it established over the last 30 years in the agro products division. “Chemicals have been our core strength and we have excelled in developing unique products through our strong R&D division,” he said at a press conference. The detergent powder was released in the packs of 1 kg, 700 gm, 200 gm and a sachet of 15 gm, which were priced at Rs.48, Rs.30, Rs.10 and Re.1, respectively. The detergent bar was launched in three variants -- 300 gm, 200 gm and 125 gm, priced at Rs.15, Rs.11 and Rs.6, respectively. The products would be promoted through consumer interactive activities like door-to-door visits, stain removal challenge demo activity and sampling.
