dated August 1, 1958: Drive against TB

A tribute to the work done in Madras State to fight tuberculosis was paid by Dr. K.K. Hegde, Minister for Health, Mysore, addressing the 19th annual general meeting of the Tuberculosis Association of Madras held on July 30 in the premises of the Madras Medical College. Dr. Hegde said that the problem of combating the disease was so great that the Government machinery alone could not effectively do it and stressed the need for the work of voluntary organisations in this sphere.
