Army officer dies of cardiac arrest

NEW DELHI: Colonel Siddarth Tiwari, Commanding Officer of 13 Rashtriya Rifles, died of cardiac arrest in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Col. Tiwari, 39, had returned from a counter-insurgency operation near Srinagar when he complained of uneasiness.

He was attended to by battalion doctors and passed away while being brought to the base hospital in Srinagar, said Army sources here.
